From 24th to the 1st June and then for 2 more weekends on 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th June 2025, come along to Studfold Adventure Trail for our brand new Teddy Bear's Picnic Event. As part of the weekend, of 14th and 15th, we’ll also be celebrating all the wonderful Dads, Step Dads and Grandads. Experience the Studfold Adventure Trail at one of the most beautiful times of the year. Take memorable family photos. Please bring and treat your own Teddy to a day out! Dress up if you wish. Pick up a clue sheet at reception, discover many of Studfold's bears hiding places and on returning pick up a Teddy surprise. This event is suitable for pre school and infants and older children who love their teddies or they enjoy helping the younger members of the family to have an adventure. The Nidderdale Way Cafe will be offering bespoke Teddy bear picnics, placed in a basket, which will be delivered, in our gator, to the main picnic and play area on the adventure trail. Order your picnic at reception on your arrival.There is no need to carry around a picnic, just bring a picnic blanket, to go up with your basket, on which to lay out your picnic.
There is so much to see and do, with the added bonus of the Fairy and Pixie homes being present at this time on the Trail too. Explore the amazing Nidderdale countryside and discover all Studfold’s hidden secrets!
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult family member at all times.

£6.50 for child aged 2 years (no gift, but option to pay £1 extra, at reception, for gift if parent feels it is suitable for the age of the child).

In order to protect both our visitors and staff several areas/activities may need special access requirements.
If you have coronavirus symptoms or have been in contact with people that have coronavirus symptoms you must stay at home. Please bring your own hand sanitiser and any PPE you feel is necessary. To prevent infection from zoonoses we recommend all hands are washed regularly with warm, soapy water and dried with hand towels or hand driers, especially when you have touched communal items, before eating, and also when leaving Studfold. Hand washing facilities are present in the cafe, toilet blocks and the picnic and play area barn. A full risk assessment is available.
If we are unable to open for the date you have booked we will transfer your booking to another date of your choosing, (dependant on 2025 availability) or if there is no availability we will give you a refund minus any booking fee.
The half hour time block that you choose to book is the arrival time span that you may enter the Adventure Trail. Although we recommend you arrive early within this half an hour. The adventure trail usually takes a minimum of 2 hours to explore.
Dogs are allowed on leads and any mess picked up and disposed of in a bin!
All terrain pushchairs are suitable for exploring the adventure.
In wet conditions the Go kart area may be closed for safety reasons.
There is a cafe at Studfold where you can order a picnic when you arrive and we can take it to the play area in one of our lovely baskets. Baskets are taken up to the play area at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
A camping, caravan and glamping park is available at Studfold if you wish to extend your adventure. Book to stay at www.studfold.com
Directions:
Although the beauty of Studfold is its position at the top of Nidderdale in the midst of fantastic Yorkshire Dales countryside, it is still within easy reach of the towns of Harrogate, Skipton, Thirsk and Northallerton, and the cities of Leeds, Bradford, York and Ripon. Please ensure that you leave plenty of time to get to Studfold for your booked entry time. We are 45 minutes from Harrogate, Skipton and Ripon.
PLEASE NOTE: Sat nav users, do not use your sat nav for the last part of your journey to us! Please follow these directions.
- Use a map from Pateley Bridge and take the Low Wath Road (turn to Lofthouse by the petrol station).
- FROM HARROGATE - go down the high street at Pateley Bridge, go over the bridge and turn right by the petrol station, signposted to Lofthouse.
- FROM SKIPTON - turn left by the petrol station, signposted to Lofthouse
- From A1 south, exit at Ripon junction and continue your journey via Pateley Bridge, see above
- From A1 north, at Knaresborough/York junction and continue via Pateley Bridge, see above.
- Stay on the same road through Lofthouse and take the first turning on the left. Park in the car park or the overflow field on the right.
