What is an Aquabike?
An aquabike is a lightweight, fast, pedal-powered watercraft. The pedals drive a highly efficient propeller system that enables the rider to glide effortlessly across the sea. Aquabikes are very stable due to their dual inflatable pontoon construction, there is virtually no risk of falling in.
Aquabiking is much easier than kayaking or paddleboarding, you only need a few minutes instruction then you are ready to explore on an exhilarating and relaxing adventure!
Am I going to get wet?
A bit! The bikes are launched from the beach so you will have to walk into knee deep water to climb aboard. Once on the bikes you should remain dry (unless it starts to rain).
What should I wear?
It depends on the weather conditions on the day! Lightweight, quick drying, comfortable clothing is advised, jeans are not recommended.
Generally people wear shorts, trousers that can be rolled above the knee, or gym leggings. A couple of layers on top, and a waterproof/windproof jacket if the weather is not so good.
Footwear will get wet, so water shoes, wetsuit boots, or old trainers are ideal. You can choose to go barefoot if you prefer.
