available only to swimming as a form of exercise. MUST HAVE A TOW/Swim float to use lake, WE DO NOT HIRE TOW FLOATS. This is NOT a family splash and play venue. SPOTTERS (1 PER SWIMMER) MUST PAY £1 ENTRY. NO SPECTATORS
YOU MUST SIGN IN AT MAIN RECEPTION UPON ARRIVAL. We do not offer refunds.
PLEASE READ ALL THE DETAILS BELOW. MAX TIME ON PARK IS 2.0 HRS. We do not allow consequative bookings your max dwell time is 2 hrs in any one day. do not book a second activity as this will not be allowed.
Park in the Past Lake is private property located in an outstandingly beautiful natural area of North Wales and is provided for recreational purposes. Wild swimming. You must have valid ticket and be 18 plus to swim in our lake un-supervised.
ACCESS IS CURRENTLY LIMITED DUE TO DEVELOPMENT: THURSDAY EVENING 17:45HRS TO 20:00HRS. AND SATURDAYS 13:00 TO 15:00 AND 15:00 TO 17:00.
STRICT ADHERENCE TO SITE WARDENS IS REQUIRED. NO VEHICLE ACCESS TO THE LAKE IS AVAILBLE.
WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE DISABLED ACCESS TO THE LAKE WHILST UNDER DEVELOPMENT.
Although every effort is made to ensure your safety, use of the Lake is at your own risk. There are no life guards or rescue boats provided. The water is up to 30 metres deep in places and may be very cold depending on the prevailing condition and time of year. it is a Short entry into deep water. There may be submerged objects in the water. We expect your swim session to be approx 90 mins and your total time lake side not more than 2.0hrs. No SOLO SWIM. Must have a SPOTTER (£1) or be with another swimmer.
NO VEHICLE ACCES TO LAKE SIDE.
- Free parking. If our bridge is not available for use You may need to paddle a shallow stream to reach the lake please bring sufficient foot wear
- We do not yet have a changing facility
- Toilets are provided lakeside.
- Hot and cold drinks are currently not available
- Directions: Park In the Past, Fagl Lane Hope. LL12 9HB. (DO NOT PARK ANYWHERE EXCEPT AT OUR MAIN ENTRANCE)
- DO NOT CROSS THE BOUY LINE WHEN USING LAKE.
We occasionally have blue/green Algae like other lakes you will be offered a future date or refund if this causes closure of swimming. We do test regularly for Hepatotoxin which can be produced by algae.
Booking to use the lake: Our fees for open water swimming, kayaking and sub boarding are for a maximum of 2 consecutive hours of use on your booked date/time. By booking and paying you are considered to have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions as set out below, together with the safety information for Lake users. you must accept our terms and conditions and accept our waiver/disclaimer to use our lake.
We reserve the right to suspend, revoke or cancel your ticket should you breach any of our rules and behave in such a way as to disturb or be disrespectful to our wildlife and supervising wardens and team. You may only swim in designated area of the lake and must not cross the tow line. Please read and understand the risks of swimming at park in the past lake. I do so in full understanding that what I am doing is dangerous and I am responsible for the risks I am taking. No children without adult supervision. Proof of age may be required.
