Aims:
To understand the role of a genetic counsellor.
To look at the changes in mainstreaming genomics.
To look at the various educational routes into genetic counselling.
Outcomes:
After the study day attendees will be able to understand the basics mainstreaming of genomics by looking at current and emerging knowledge and practice; draw a family pedigree; understand their educational options/routes into genetic counselling and to have a clear understanding of the role of a genetic counsellor.
