Sit back and relax as our professional skipper steers The Shropshire Star along the Shropshire Union Canal which was completed in 1835. You will leave Norbury Junction heading north, firstly passing a line of attractively painted moored boats. There are fantastic views of Norbury Church and across the rural farmland. Kingfishers, Herons, Ducks and Moorhens are just some of the wildlife that you may see in the wooded cutting before passing underneath the unique High Bridge. This bridge carries the A519 across the canal and is unusual as the lower arch houses a telegraph pole; once a dominate feature of the Shroppie. Before turning round at Grub Street and returning to Norbury Junction, enjoy gliding beneath another bridge and watching other canal users enjoy the rural waters of this canal. Full bar open for the duration of cruise (cash only).
