Old Thatch Open Day Cruise
Old Thatch Open Day Cruise
Dates: 5th April, 7th June and 6th September, at 1pm.
We run a special trip from Odiham, which goes eastwards, stopping on the way to visit the National Garden Scheme Open Day at the Old Thatch cottage in Winchfield. This “chocolate-box” thatched cottage is a well-known landmark on the Basingstoke Canal and has attractive, well-stocked gardens.
The boat stops at Stacey's Bridge where passengers will disembark. This is a 10 minute walk from Old Thatch, up a short flight of steps at the bridge and along a footpath. Please note: the footpath has been recently improved, and a style replaced by a pedestrian gate.
These trips are popular, and to avoid disappointment we suggest you make a booking beforehand. We are limited to 50 passengers on this trip (that includes babes in arms), so cannot guarantee to have space at the last moment.
Please note: This trip must be booked at least 12 hours in advance of departure.
