Kid's Pirate Treasure Hunt Cruise Wed 19th August 2.30pm.
Be a pirate on an afternoon cruise to King John’s Castle, and find the hidden treasure. Puzzle sheets to fill in en route. Cakes, soft drinks etc available and prizes for keen hunters. The treasure hunt is aimed at 5-12 year olds but open to all. This cruise (including the treasure hunt) should last around 2½ hours.
This trip is likely to be popular, and to avoid disappointment we suggest you make a booking beforehand. We are limited to 50 passengers on this trip (that includes babes in arms), so cannot guarantee to have space at the last moment.
Please note: This trip must be booked at least 12 hours in advance of departure.

Around 2½ hours, however please note: trip may be longer when the canal water is low, for example, after periods of little rain, and the route may be changed to Barley Mow, Winchfield..
A licenced bar is open on all cruises, where you can purchase coffee, tea, drinks, and light refreshments. Souvenirs are available to help you remember the occasion.
Both the John Pinkerton II and its operating company are wholly owned by The Basingstoke Canal Society (a registered charity). All crew members are trained volunteers, and skippers are accredited by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Proceeds from boat trips go towards safeguarding the Basingstoke Canal for the future.
