Welsh Connections
21 June 14:15
A bastion of English royal power, Chester’s role as a key base for Edward I’s conquest of Wales is one of the elements that has made its history so rich. As you might expect, given the proximity to the Welsh border, Chester’s history is full of both friendships and rivalries with the people of north Wales. Join your guide on this walk to learn about Chester’s Welsh connections past and present, and the rich Welsh heritage within Chester.
The walk will end at Bishop Lloyd’s Palace on Watergate Street.
Please note that some sections of the walk are not fully accessible, but adjustments can be made with prior notice. Please contact organisers before booking by phoning the Visitor Information Centre, 01244 405340.
