For over 800 years, the Guilds have been established to represent local tradesmen and protect both the quality of their goods, and their welfare.
This is a 90 minute walking tour accompanied by a collection of Freemen of the city of Chester representing a number of Guilds. As well as the historic nature of the buildings visited, there will be an opportunity to engage with a GuildsMan and discuss what it means to them and what the Guilds mean to Chester.
This walk is free, but due to limited numbers, booking is essential.
The route of the walk is not fully accessible as there will be some steps, but there will also be the opportunity to remain at street level.
