Silent Witnesses - Talk
Silent Witnesses - Talk
28 June 14:00
What can the front of Bishop Lloyd's Palace tell us? There is no documentary evidence about this building until 1661 and written evidence afterwards is sparse. This talk by Karen McKay of Chester Civic Trust, will focus on what we can learn from the building itself.
Martyn Rowland of Skysnapper Aerial Photography and Film has undertaken a project to photograph the carvings on the attic floor of Bishop Lloyd's Palace. These photographs will be the clearest view we have had of the carvings for over four hundred years and be presented during the talk. The proceeds from ticket sales will help fund the photographic project.
Refreshments will be served following this one-hour talk. Please note the venue is accessed from Watergate Row and then via a flight of stairs.
