This walk is designed to explore the heritage of the old port of Chester and the canal which is linked to it. It explores the various parts of the waterway environment and presents the challenges and opportunities of the waterways in the city’s future.It will include an opportunity to view an exhibition from the local branch of the Inland Waterways Association at the Tower Wharf basin.
John Herson, of Chester Civic Trust, is your guide for this easy walk which will last between 1 ½ and 2 hours. Please notehowever that the route is not fully accessible as it includes steps and steep slopes.
