Northgate Stories - Walk
Northgate Stories - Walk

26th June - 5pm and 30th June - 6pm
Leading from the city centre to an ancient gateway, Northgate Street is lined with historic buildings, all with their own tales to tell.
This walk will explore the history of Chester through the lives of some of the people who lived or worked in and around Northgate Street. It will uncover fascinating stories of the city’s people, both ordinary and extraordinary. The route will venture off the main street to explore hidden lanes and courtyards as well as taking in a stretch of the city walls.
Chester has a long history of restoring and repurposing buildings, and we'll see several fine examples of this along our walk. We promise to show you some details you haven’t spotted before.
Tickets £10 per person. Meet at the Flagpole on Town Hall Square.
This bookable event also takes place on Wednesday 26 June at 17:00
Duration approx. 90 minutes.
Please note that some sections of the walk are not fully accessible, but adjustments can be made with prior notice.
