Journeying to Cheshire: New Projects on Border-Crossing Populations
Journeying to Cheshire: New Projects on Border-Crossing Populations
27th June - 7pm Arrival for Hot Food, 7.30pm - 8.30pm for the discussion.
How has migration to Cheshire changed?
Two projects –Migration Stories North West and Journeying to Cheshire- are collecting and sharing stories of people who have crossed borders and made new homes in the area. They are working with migrants and refugees to create oral histories showing their individual journeys.
At this talk, Daniel Edmonds of Cheshire Archives and Heather Swainston of Migrations Stories North West will introduce these different projects, their purpose, and their results.
Come along to learn more about what kind of people have made Cheshire their home, why they came here, and what their experiences of living here have been.
This is a catered event, with hot food being served from 7pm and the discussion taking place between 7:30 and 8:30pm. The hosts of this event will receive your contact details and may be in touch prior. This will only be for arrangements relating to the catering of this event.
Tickets are free of charge but due to limited numbers booking is essential.
Both these projects have been made possible with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
