Heading South! A stroll southward to Edgar’s Field Park that traces the rich and varied heritage of Lower Bridge Street (an area that was down-at-heel with many derelict properties in the mid-20th Century – so ‘heading south’) and the importance of the long-standing crossing over the River Dee to reach the south.
Paul Hyde, of Chester Civic Trust, is your guide for this 75-minute walk. Please note: the walk is not intended for children, although suitable for older teenagers. The final stopping point is on a grassed area in Edgar’s Field. This can be changed if necessary and otherwise the walk is accessible.
