A relaxed evening walk along the banks of the river Dee through Chester, with Pete Evans, a Green Badge tourist guide for Chester and north Wales, and the author of ‘The Holy Dee,’ taking in its four bridges and a weir, learning of their histories, glories and tragedies.
Suitable for ages 10+. This walk is approximately 2km (1.25 miles) finishing at the Railway Bridge (by the Roodee). The route may not be fully accessible to all however the section of the city walls by Bridge gate can be avoided if necessary. Stout footwear required and dress for variable British summer weather.
