Chester Rows: An Update - Walk
Chester Rows: An Update - Walk
21 June 17:45
The Rows, which make Chester’s city centre distinctive from any other, are part of the Government’s ‘High Street Heritage Action Zones’ initiative to revitalise historic high streets.
Join Tony Barton, local conservation architect at Donald Insall Associates and member Chester Civic Trust, to hear his thoughts on the Rows history, their unique form and development over the centuries. Tony’s team is working for Cheshire West and Chester Council on the Chester Heritage Action Zone project, and he will also explain the Council’s plans to help the regeneration of one of Chester’s most prized historic structures.
The walk which is expected to take about an hour includes steps. With prior notice parts of the walk can be rerouted to avoid steps. Please contact organisers before booking by phoning the Visitor Information Centre, 01244 405340.
