How can we use our full range of senses to understand, as archaeologists, the world around us?
This talk, part of the Sensory Archaeology event taking place at Chester Cathedral, will first look at how we can understand buildings, landscapes and objects in ways that go beyond the visual to consider touch, sound and duration. The second part of the talk will address the place of emotions in the complex relationship between people and things, exploring how things make us feel and where those feelings fit in archaeological interpretation.
Please note that the talk link will be made available to the attendees prior to the talk. This is a live event and will not be recorded and made available online afterwards.
