• Great orme – Start the tour in Llandudno where you will meet your expert tour guide and climb into a comfortable 16-seater minibus. Set off on your adventure into the history, heritage, and culture of Wales. First, take a drive along the Great Orme Road, a 1-way scenic road which is the longest of its kind in the UK. Admire the spectacular cliffs, wildlife, and views out to the Irish Sea and Anglesey.
• Conwy castle and town walls – Explore and take a photo stop in the ancient town of Conwy where you can view the castle’s domineering and towering walls and catch that picture-perfect photo from the Conwy Estuary Bridge.
• Penrhyn Quarry – Then, head on to Penrhyn Quarry for a chance to see how mining history has moved with the times and merged with the adrenaline adventure industry of todays generations
• Nant Ffancon Pass – Drive into the glacial Nant Ffrancon Pass & Ogwen Valley in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, and enjoy many photo opportunities at the many lakes you will be visiting. Also, learn some local history and tales about local welsh myths and legends along the way.
• Llyn Ogwen – Stop at this wonderful lakeside setting and experience the fresh mountain air whilst taking some scenic photos
• Llyn mymbyr – Take another photo opportunity during a stop at LLynau Mymbyr in Capel Curig, with Snowdonia now in view at the end of the lake.
• Snowdonia viewpoint & Nant Gwynant Pass – Next, as you head further into Snowdonia, enjoy the panoramas from the Nant Gwynant Pass. Gaze in awe at the spectacular view of the valley below with its lakes, and the towering Snowdonia mountain range in front of you, known as “Snowdonias viewpoint”.
• Pen Y Pass – Take the famous Pen y Pass Road from the upper regions of the mountains to the lower summits and into the mountain village of Llanberis. During this scenic drive, you are likely to see rock climbers and mountain walkers as you feel dwarfed by the towering valley slopes.
• National slate museum- Arrive in Llanberis and head over to the National Slate Museum where you can travel into the past of an industry and a way of life that has chiseled itself into the very being of Wales. See how the workshops and buildings are designed as though quarrymen and engineers have just put down their tools and left the courtyard for home, while an array of talks and demonstrations including slate-splitting give you a real insight into the hardships of past quarry life.
• Vivian Quarry – Take in the beauty of this hidden wonder of Vivian Quarry secretly nestled in amongst the forest trees, before setting off to the next stop.
• Dolbadarn castle – After this, arrive at Dolbadarn Castle and take a short walk from the car park over the river bridge and through the forest to admire the views overlooking the gateway to padarn and the national park. This is where you really connect with wales, our history & culture
• Llyn Padarn – Then, stop at the lakeside of Llyn Padarn where you can see in the backdrop the years of workings of the old slate quarrying and the famous sword in the stone “excalibur” statue.
• Caernarfon castle and village – Finally, head over to Caernarfon Castle and take a walk around this world heritage site. Return back to Llandudno where your tour will end after a jam-packed day of sightseeing.
